The Adult Ministry of First Baptist Church, Graham, NC provides several
opportunities for Adults of all ages. We do this through Sunday school,
mission's organizations, and special age-related events and ministries.
Our goal is to offer genuine experiences with good sound biblical teaching
and learning environments that will develop the whole person as they grow
in their faith.
Take a look at a few of the opportunities available at First Baptist
Church:
Sunday School
The Sunday school or the Bible teaching ministry of First Baptist
Church is available for the whole family. We have preschool, children,
youth and adult department which provide optimal learning experiences both
inside and outside the classroom. The Sunday school also provides
opportunities for outreach, missions and fellowship.
First Baptist Sunday School meets every Sunday at 9:45 am.
Missions
First Baptist Church is a mission minded church that takes serious the
needs around the community and the world. The WMU and the Brotherhood
provide regular missions educational learning experiences for adults of
all ages. In addition to these organizations we have a Missions Team that
plans church wide mission's projects and fundraisers that provide aid and
assistance in our community. On a regular basis, we help with 3 needy
families throughout the year with emergency assistance, food, clothing and
educational supplies. We contribute to community and world hunger needs.
We also have been very active in Samaritan's Purse Operation Christmas
Child. This past year we sponsored a team to go to Smyrna, Tennessee to
help renovate a housing development. Being a missions minded church we
continue to seek innovative ways to serve God in our community and world.
Bible Study and Prayer Service
Each week First Baptist comes together for prayer and Bible study. Our
Lord has taught us to pray one for another. In keeping with our Lord's
command, we seek to corporately pray for the holistic needs of our church
and community. In addition to this time of prayer we meet to study the
Bible. In an informal way we look at a variety of topics found in the
Bible; we study certain books in the Bible; and we also attempt to draw
life application principles from our studies. The Bible Study and Prayer
Service meet every Wednesday at 6:30 pm.
First Wednesday Fellowship
Once a month on Wednesday at 5:30 pm we meet for a special family
emphasis. We call it "First Wednesday Fellowship." First
Wednesday Fellowship provides a meal (at an affordable price) and a
special emphasis speaker or musical group.
Triple L's Senior Adult Ministry
The catchy motto for Triple L's is "Live Longer and Like
it." The Triple L's provide a well rounded ministry for Senior Adults
at First Baptist Church. Retreats, luncheons, special programs and
community forums are a few of the fun activities available to Senior
Adults.
The Triple L's meet the second Tuesday of the month at 10:00 am
