| * As A Part Of The
Youth-N-Action Weekly Activities We Provide Many Other Ways To Strive
To Meet The Needs Of Today's Youth! |
In addition to these activities with youth First Baptist Church provides
*Retreats
- Youth Week at PASSPORT and/or Caswell, CBF Spring Weekends, High School
& Middle School Retreat, Mission Trips, etc.
*Recreation
- Lock-ins, Christian Concerts, Carowinds, Six Flags,
Emerald Pointe, Halloween Party, Movies, Sports Outings, , Putt
Putt, Bowling, etc.
*FUN-draiser
- For many of the trips the youth try to raise money to help defray the
cost. Periodic fundraisers will be placed on the calendar help with these
trips. We have found that
Fun-draisers are great team building opportunities for today’s youth.
*Bible
Study and Missions
- Missions efforts have been made in the community for Backyard Bible
Clubs, Kid's Club (VBS), Christmas Cheer, Feeding the hungry at the Good
Shepherd Kitchen, Stocking the shelves at the local food shelter, Raking
leaves for the elderly, and many more mission opportunities.
One event that we look forward to in the summer is to take a
mission trip to renovate and restore a housing development or provide
mission assistance. (Passport in Deland, Florida, a church-wide trip to Smyrna,
Tennessee, etc.)
*Music
and worship -
Each year when the youth return from a summer retreat or a mission trip
they provide a Youth led worship service to include music and testimony of
their experiences that week. It has proven to be one the major highlights
of the year. Periodically the youth will be ask to share in the worship
services for Youth Week activities and other special worship
experiences.
